Your privacy is important to you – so it’s important to us, too. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with our website, buy a ticket, play the festival, whether you’re a volunteer, a sponsor, or a vendor.

1. Information we collect

There are three main ways we collect information:

Ticket Purchases (via EventGroove): When you buy a ticket, our third-party partner, EventGroove, collects your name, email, and payment details. They share your contact information with us so we can manage entry and send you festival updates. Note: We do not see or store your full credit card number; that is handled securely by EventGroove’s payment processors!
Artists, Sponsors, Vendors, and Volunteers: If you apply to be any of those things, we collect more detailed information, such as your physical address, phone number, business details, etc.
Newsletter Sign-ups: If you join our mailing list, and you totally should, we collect your name and email address.

2. Digital tracking and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g., which bands people are looking up most!).

What is tracked: This includes your IP address (anonymized), browser type, and how you navigate our site.
Your Control: You can opt-out of tracking by adjusting your browser settings or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Our site also respects “Do Not Track” signals where applicable.

3. How we use your information

We use your data for the “Three L’s”:

Logistics: Sending your tickets, verifying your volunteer shift, coordinating your vendor booth, that sort of thing.
Lineup (and other news): Sending you updates about the festival, schedule changes, and future ticket pre-sales.
Legal: Ensuring we comply with state and federal regulations.

4. Sharing your data

We are not in the business of selling your data to “data brokers.” We only share your info with:

Service Providers: Trusted partners who help us run the show (e.g., EventGroove for tickets, Mailchimp for emails).
Legal Necessity: If required by law or to protect the safety of our attendees and staff.

5. Your rights, and data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access. Because we are based in Michigan, we follow state guidelines regarding data breach notifications.

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

Access: Ask us what data we have about you.
Delete: Request that we “forget” your personal information (subject to certain legal record-keeping requirements).
Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from our emails at any time via the link at the bottom of the message.
